Austin Bassist Seeks Solid, Dynamic Band

I am into all kinds of music (hard rock, punk, funk, blues, reggae, ska, and grungy pop are my favorites), but my favorite music to play is good, solid, edgy rock n roll.

Some of my favorite artists, biggest influences, and personal heroes are KISS (Gene Simmons, especially), 7 Seconds, Fugazi, Living Colour, RHCP, Led Zeppelin, Nirvana, Foo Fighters, Carl Yastremzski, Sublime, Helmet, The Who, Spiderman, Nikki Sixx, Ian McKaye, Smashing Pumpkins, Sublime, Rev. Horton Heat, Stephen Hawking, Jane's Addiction, Bad Religion, James Brown, Prince, Rollins, Robert Pirsig (author of Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance), CW Stubbelfield, Kosmos Spoetzel (if you have to ask, you don't need to know), Beastie Boys, Superman, Rage Against the Machine, Motley Crue and the Beatles. I am NOT looking to join a death-metal band or a band that has that "Austin Sound". If I have to listen to Soulhat's Ugly American Stoned Sister one more time I will be forced to engage in projectile vomiting.
